We invite you to be our guest at Vallecitos this summer. Please join us to connect with the depth and magic of the land as you support Vallecitos. We are offering you the simple experience of being on the land, safely using our facilities, and receiving 3 nutritious meals a day. You are welcome to join us for one or all of our six week long sessions, beginning July 31 through September 10, where you may choose to stay in a casita, yurt, the hermitage cabin or the middle house. 

Visit us and savor the quiet intimacy of being on the land with only 10 guests at a time. While you are welcome to be in silence during your stay, please know the retreat center will not be in silence. You may use this time as you wish. You are welcome to be in seclusion or with friends and family.

To ensure the safety of our guests and staff:

• All guests must be fully vaccinated. 
• All guests must have been to Vallecitos before.
• All guests must fill out the following application. Apply early as we expect spaces to go quickly!

Given CDC recommendations and state guidelines, the only way to ensure we are a safe cruicible is to be certain all (including staff) who come to the land this year are vaccinated. For the safety of our guests and staff, we err on the side of caution, especially given the nature of Vallecitos and our communal facilities. Like many retreat centers, we are feeling our way as we consider how to safely reopen. We are excited that we may enable at least a few guests to the land in this limited way despite the ongoing pandemic.

Safety

The meditation hall, loft, dining hall and bathhouse will all be open for use. We require that all guests practice physical distancing at all times and wear a mask when in common areas or around others and at all times when indoors. Please see the following safety protocols required for your stay. 

Meals

We will offer 3 simple vegetarian meals a day that will be plated and offered to go for eating outside under our covered porch or out on the land. While we will not be able to take special dietary restrictions at this time, meals will accommodate the most common dietary requests (Gluten Free and Dairy optional). Outside food is not allowed however, guests are welcome to bring a small amount of non-perishable snacks to store in our bins during your stay. Tea/coffee will be available throughout the day. (Middle House guests are welcome to bring more items for use in the full kitchen of this accommodation.)

Transportation and Comfort Packs

In an effort to make this offering sustainable for Vallecitos, we will not be offering shuttle service, comfort packs or CPAP requests. Guests must organize their own transportation to and from the retreat center, bring their own bedding and towels* and not require our support or electricity for the use of a CPAP machine. (*Please note, bedding and towels will be provided for those staying in the middle house.) 

Silence

While you are welcome to be in silence during your stay, please know the retreat center will not be in silence. You may use this time as you wish. 

Length of stay

There is a minimum booking of 6 nights (one week block). Guests are welcome to book multiple weeks and connect their stays. Check in for everyone is held on each Saturday. Guests may depart anytime during their stay.

Accommodations

Middle House 

($350 per night for 2 guests. Additional $55 per person for a maximum of 4 guests)

This is where the teachers normally stay. The Middle House has a full kitchen, master bedroom (queen) with master bath, upstairs bedroom (full), second bathroom, wood burning stove, sun room with daybed, electricity and running water. Bedding and towels are provided in this accommodation. Meal service is included for those staying in the Middle House. Additionally, you are welcome to bring your own food to store, prepare and eat at the Middle House.

Hermitage 

($235 per night for 1 guest. Additional $50 per person for one additional guest) 

The hermitage is a secluded one room cabin far from other accommodations. Features a queen bed, pillows, desk, chair, nightstand, solar light and small sink for washing (no running water). The cabin has heat and no electricity. The hermitage has its own outhouse. We do not allow food in the hermitage cabin. Bedding and towels are not provided. 

Casita 

($190 per night for 1 guest. Additional $45 per person for one additional guest.) 

Our standard accommodation is a one room casita with heat and either a full or queen size bed. Features a bed, pillow, desk, chair, nightstand and solar light. No electricity. 

Yurt 

($190 per night for 1 guest. Additional $45 per person for one additional guest.) 

A popular accommodation is a one room yurt with heat and either a full or queen size bed. Features a bed, pillow, desk, chair, nightstand and solar light. No electricity.

For those interested in booking a stay at Vallecitos this summer, please fill out the following application. We will email you to let you know the status of your application within 7 business days. Accommodations will be offered on a first come first served basis. We encourage you to apply early and register as soon as possible as we expect that accommodations will go quickly. 

Please be aware, all guests must sign our waiver and safety protocols prior to arrival. They will be sent via email prior to your stay. Vallecitos reserves the right to modify, cancel or close at any time.
