Ways to Donate
- Join Cien Companeros - the monthly pledge stewardship circle and make a monthly pledge to Vallecitos’ Annual Fund.
- Make a One-Time Donation. You can make a donation to VMR by check or credit card using the form provided.
- Stock Transfer Gift - A gift of appreciated assets, such as securities, would provide a tax deduction for the full market value of the asset and could eliminate the capital gains tax you might incur from the sale of the appreciated asset. You may print out and use our stock transfer form to initiate a stock gift for Vallecitos Mountain Ranch. Please remember, it is very important to contact us to let us know a stock gift has been initiated.
- Planned Giving. Vallecitos Mountain Ranch has established a Legacy Circle to acknowledge donors who have included Vallecitos in their estate planning. This type of gift is a wonderful way to provide support to Vallecitos for generations to come. We recognize these generous and thoughtful supporters during their lifetimes in many ways.
Symbols of membership include:
- a listing as a Legacy Circle member in our Annual Report
- an interview in a newsletter (if desired)
- invitations to special events

Bequests. It is surprisingly easy to make a lasting gift to Vallecitos Mountain Ranch. Just include Vallecitos as a beneficiary:- in your will or living trust
- in your retirement plan or bank account
- in your life insurance policy.

Free Advice from Planned Giving Professionals. We can send you a list of planned giving professionals, many of whom are Vallecitos alumni. Each of them is willing to donate time for an initial meeting to discuss your estate planning needs, provide advice and determine if they are a good match for your situation. To receive the list, please contact us.
Once Vallecitos knows of your intentions, you will become a member of our Legacy Circle and, if willing, be recognized during your lifetime. We are most grateful for these lasting gifts.
- Corporate Matching Gifts. If your company has a matching gift program, you may be able to increase the value of your gift. If you have given a gift recently or in this calendar year, it may still be eligible for your company to match. Please check with your personnel department for the matching-gift form and send it in to Vallecitos Mountain Ranch to increase your gift!
- In-Kind and Wish List Donations. Thank you for your attention to our previously published wish lists. Your generosity and creativity is deeply appreciated by Vallecitos Mountain Ranch and our extended community.
- Camping equipment for retreats (sleeping bags, water bottles, sleeping bag liners, flashlights, day packs, etc)
- Meditation Cushions

Getting married? Now you can support Vallecitos Mountain Ranch by registering with the I Do Foundation. From honeymoon to invitations to wedding gifts to charitable wedding favors, the I Do Foundation allows couples and their guests to make wedding-related purchases that generate donations for charity. The I Do Foundation’s Charity Registry service also makes it easy for guests to make donations in lieu of gifts. All of these services are available free of cost at www.IDoFoundation.org. Working Assets Give for Change Program
A great way to help Vallecitos out is to nominate us for Working Assets’ Give For Change program, which would allow us to have funds donated to us by members of Working Assets. Donations of airline frequent flyer miles allow us to offer travel assistance to activists in financial need. Please call the office today to discuss making such a gift.
